Main Street Pauls Valley
We want to invite you to a place you may not have visited much lately, but a place that's been a part of your heart all your life - the downtown.

Decades of changes in doing business have put many downtowns in a declining condition. But here in Pauls Valley, we are beginning an effort to restore our downtown to a vibrant level of all-day activity in a safe, attractive setting - the Main Street Pauls Valley downtown revitalization program.

Our goals are set on restoring the importance of our downtown to both our residents and to the many visitors we attract. Pauls Valley's downtown will become a place where families and friends can meet and mingle; where a wide variety of stores will meet the needs and desires of town citizens and visitors alike; and where our town history is told and honored in the buildings and design of our central business district.

It takes people with an interest in supporting our efforts to preserve our traditions and make our future a reality. We are blessed with many volunteers to help make this happen for us. And we're happy you're interested in our downtown, too!

Valley Brickfest
Join Us Downtown for Valley Brickfest, the first Saturday of each May. Brickfest features live music and entertainment, artist's booths, food venders, kid's activities, Brick Toss Contest, 3 on 3 Basketball, and more. See our Brickfest page in the events section.

The Four Points To Success
Main Street Pauls Valley follows the nationally successful Main Street Four Point Approach. The four areas where Main Street volunteers focus their downtown work are these:

Design
Dedicated to improving the look of downtown. The design Committee focuses on recognizing and restoring our downtown's historic structures to their original appearance; guiding new downtown construction to be compatible with the traditional; improving signs, windows, and store displays for downtown merchants; and improving the downtown streetscape, from sidewalks to greenery, from lighting to parking.

Economic Restructuring

Projects in this area aid existing downtown businesses by offering information and incentives that can help expand their sales knowledge and ability. They also offer financial incentives and startup advice for new business owners starting downtown. This committee creates the financial and statistical bedrock for downtown business to build on.

Promotion
Volunteers in this area plan and present downtown special events and festival designed to bring people downtown to have fun; they work with merchants on sales promotions to bring people downtown to buy more often; and they create image campaigns to attract people beyond our city limits to come in and enjoy our downtown.

Organization
In this area, volunteers publicize the work of the Main Street Program to the community at large through newsletters and other publicity; they raise funds for the program to help it accomplish its mission; and they always are looking to recruit great people as volunteers- like you.
